Glossary of a SPEI transfer
The seven terms that appear on a receipt and on the Banxico CEP form. They are in the order you need them, not alphabetical.
Receipt
It is the screenshot, the photo or the PDF the payer sends you. It comes from the sender's bank, so on its own it does not prove the money reached the account.

Official receipt
The document Banxico issues for a settled SPEI transfer, signed by the bank that received the payment. In these guides it is always the CEP.
CEP
CEP stands for Comprobante Electrónico de Pago: it is the name of the official Banxico receipt. You can download it as PDF to read it or as XML to process its data.

Tracking key
It is the identifier your bank assigns to a SPEI transfer. You find it in the movement details; it is also called «código de rastreo».
CLABE
It stands for Clave Bancaria Estandarizada and has 18 digits. It identifies a bank account, and it is what the CEP form asks for as the beneficiary account.

SPEI
It stands for Sistema de Pagos Electrónicos Interbancarios and the Bank of Mexico operates it. It moves the money between the institutions that take part in it.
